Description
Cherished Memories: Drawings and Stories of Yesteryear Rogue Valley - The Anderson Story
by Dorothy Vore chronicles the life of Eli. K. Anderson. Born in Indiana in 1826, he died in Ashland in 1912 and was the first white settler to take a Donation Land Claim in the Talent area in January 1852. Anderson Creek, Anderson Butte and Anderson Creek Road are all his namesakes. Dorothy Vore's book is full of photos and her own unique drawings. A wonderful book for anyone wanting to know more about Talent's early history and one of its most prominent pioneer families.
